When fluoride is removed, dental decay decreases or stays the same

Don’t let the fear-mongers scare you. As reported in the Calgary Herald newspaper article Calgary dentists report more cavities in kids after fluoride removed from water, the author Clara Ho makes it seem like after only two years of children not being exposed to the toxic chemical hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride), their teeth are starting to fall out.

But let’s look a little closer shall we?

By “Calgary Dentists”, Clara Ho actually means two Calgary Dentists. They are reporting that children are coming to their office “with bigger cavities than seen before” and ““Now we’re seeing again the horror stories in a younger population of children since they’ve taken the fluoride out,” Smith said, citing higher levels of decay in young children and even babies as young as 11 months.”

Higher tooth decay in babies as young as 11 months? A child’s first teeth … Read More »

The Difference Between Dose and Dosage

Posted on August 17th, by Danny in Fluoride Controversy, Fluoride Side Effects. 1 Comment

There is a serious problem with adding medication to the water supply: Everyone drinks a different amount of water.

Although the City of Toronto is very good at adding a precise amount of hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride) to our drinking water, that water is consumed in vastly different quantities by vastly different people.

When a doctor prescribes their patient a medication, there is a process of evaluation of the patient’s physical and mental condition. This gives the doctor an idea of the proper amount and intake schedule of a particular drug.

If treating obesity for example, one would treat a person who weighs 500 lbs differently than someone who weighs 200 lbs. Why? Because the 500 lb person requires more care when changing their diet and lifestyle than the person who weighs 200 lbs.

This is the reason why it is so important to evaluate people on a patient-by-patient … Read More »

Over 500 Signatures Reached

Nearly 600 people have signed the petition to end water fluoridation in Toronto after just two weeks since the campaign was launched! We are well on our way to stopping this unethical practice!

Other Ontario cities have recently stopped fluoridating their water. In 2010 Waterloo stopped adding hydrofluorosilicic acid to their community water supply after 50.3% of referendum voters said no to fluoridation. Waterloo had been fluoridating their water for 44 years. In January of 2013, Windsor city council decided to do the same after a vote of 8-3 in favour of stopping fluoridation. Windsor had been fluoridating their water for over 50 years.

On September 21st hundreds of Torontonians plan to peacefully assemble to let it be known that they do not want toxic hydrofluorosilicic acid added to Toronto’s water supply. Let’s hope that Toronto will follow behind these other Ontario cities and end their 50 year long practice of water fluoridation.

Top 4 Reasons Why Adding Medication to Water is Wrong

There are many reasons why medication of any kind should not and cannot be distributed through a water supply. Here are the top 4 reasons:

1) Everyone Receives a Different Dosage

By government mandate, Toronto Water adds a very precise dose of the medication hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride) to the water at around 0.6 ppm. However, depending on how much water you drink, this provides for a very large range of dosages especially over the span of a lifetime.

If I drink 4 litres of water per day and you drink 1 litre of water per day, that means that I am effectively consuming 4 times the amount of fluoride as you are each day. This is especially problematic for those who drink a large amount of water including firemen, diabetics, and athletes. Coupled with all of the other fluoride we ingest through sources such as beverages, foods, and … Read More »
