Come one and come all. Please join us for the second annual peaceful assembly to End Fluoridation in Toronto at Toronto City hall Friday, June 6th, 2014 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
This year’s event is more important than ever as Toronto City Councillors and their new opponents make campaign promises to secure positions within council. This gives us an amazing opportunity not only to map out which current Toronto City Councillors are for and against fluoride, but also to map out the views of any up-and-coming candidates. A full blog post will be posted shortly so that you can see exactly what each individual Toronto City Councillor thinks about fluoride. This will hopefully aid you in your decision come voting time this fall.
We will be starting to fire up our blog based website www.endfluoridetoronto.com again now in preparation for the event. Please follow us on the Facebook … Read More »
Ashley and I would like to thank everyone who joined us at Saturday’s peaceful assembly at Toronto City Hall. Despite 18 hours of straight rain starting Friday night, the weather could not dampen our spirits.
Having so many people come out and stand in the pouring rain is a testament to how passionate so many of us are about getting hydrofluorosilicic acid out of our water supply. Commonly referred to as fluoride, this acid is highly toxic and has been shown by the National Sanitation Foundation to be contaminated with arsenic, mercury and radionuclides.
We started this campaign just a few months ago and have already made a significant impact. We are close to having almost 2,000 signatures on the petition to end fluoridation in Toronto. We are not alone. The public is quickly waking up to the reality of forced water … Read More »
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It has been an incredible 2 months leading up to our peaceful assembly this Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 1-5pm at Toronto City Hall. Today was particularly great as we have reached an amazing pinnacle by getting over 1,000 signatures on the www.change.org End Fluoride Toronto petition!
As well, we are happy to announce that a Press Release was issued on Friday through Marketwire and got huge reach. You can read the press release here: http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/hundreds-to-rally-at-city-hall-against-water-fluoridation-in-toronto-1830597.htm
What to Expect on Saturday
Bring a smile and a positive attitude. We are getting together peacefully to learn from one another and to inform those unfamiliar with fluoridation about the latest scientific studies showing that the chemical used to fluoridate Toronto’s tap water, hydrofluorosilicic acid, has been linked to a range of adverse health effects. As well, medicating our water supply is immoral, unethical, and … Read More »
44 City Councillors and the Mayor have the power to add a medication to our drinking water supplying 4,000,000 Toronto residents. This is very frightening and very wrong.
You can help end water fluoridation in Toronto by doing more than signing the www.change.org petition and being at the peaceful assembly on the 21st of September. Call and e-mail your Toronto City Councillor and let them know that you do not support the addition of hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride) to our public water supply.
Furthermore, let your Councillor know that this is a voting issue for you. With the upcoming 2014 elections looming, there is a much higher chance that they will listen.
Here is a link to all of the Toronto City Councillors by ward : http://www.toronto.ca/committees/community_councils.htm
Ask your Councillor what their position is on fluoride and follow-up with them to ensure you receive a response. … Read More »
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are very excited that hundreds of people will be attending the peaceful assembly on September 21, 2013 at Toronto City Hall from 1:00-5:00 PM. We are also over 850 signatures on our change.org petition which is just shy of our goal of 1,000.
We need your help! Please sign and share the petition and mark your calendars for the 21st. Bring friends, family and anyone you think cares about our right to informed consent and to clean drinking water free of added medication.
Thank you for all of your support. The assembly will be an informative and fun event filled with people from all walks of life.
We hope to see you there!
Ashley and Danny
Don’t let the fear-mongers scare you. As reported in the Calgary Herald newspaper article Calgary dentists report more cavities in kids after fluoride removed from water, the author Clara Ho makes it seem like after only two years of children not being exposed to the toxic chemical hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride), their teeth are starting to fall out.
But let’s look a little closer shall we?
By “Calgary Dentists”, Clara Ho actually means two Calgary Dentists. They are reporting that children are coming to their office “with bigger cavities than seen before” and ““Now we’re seeing again the horror stories in a younger population of children since they’ve taken the fluoride out,” Smith said, citing higher levels of decay in young children and even babies as young as 11 months.”
Higher tooth decay in babies as young as 11 months? A child’s first teeth … Read More »
There is a serious problem with adding medication to the water supply: Everyone drinks a different amount of water.
Although the City of Toronto is very good at adding a precise amount of hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride) to our drinking water, that water is consumed in vastly different quantities by vastly different people.
When a doctor prescribes their patient a medication, there is a process of evaluation of the patient’s physical and mental condition. This gives the doctor an idea of the proper amount and intake schedule of a particular drug.
If treating obesity for example, one would treat a person who weighs 500 lbs differently than someone who weighs 200 lbs. Why? Because the 500 lb person requires more care when changing their diet and lifestyle than the person who weighs 200 lbs.
This is the reason why it is so important to evaluate people on a patient-by-patient … Read More »

Nearly 600 people have signed the petition to end water fluoridation in Toronto after just two weeks since the campaign was launched! We are well on our way to stopping this unethical practice!
Other Ontario cities have recently stopped fluoridating their water. In 2010 Waterloo stopped adding hydrofluorosilicic acid to their community water supply after 50.3% of referendum voters said no to fluoridation. Waterloo had been fluoridating their water for 44 years. In January of 2013, Windsor city council decided to do the same after a vote of 8-3 in favour of stopping fluoridation. Windsor had been fluoridating their water for over 50 years.
On September 21st hundreds of Torontonians plan to peacefully assemble to let it be known that they do not want toxic hydrofluorosilicic acid added to Toronto’s water supply. Let’s hope that Toronto will follow behind these other Ontario cities and end their 50 year long practice of water fluoridation.
There are many reasons why medication of any kind should not and cannot be distributed through a water supply. Here are the top 4 reasons:
1) Everyone Receives a Different Dosage
By government mandate, Toronto Water adds a very precise dose of the medication hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride) to the water at around 0.6 ppm. However, depending on how much water you drink, this provides for a very large range of dosages especially over the span of a lifetime.
If I drink 4 litres of water per day and you drink 1 litre of water per day, that means that I am effectively consuming 4 times the amount of fluoride as you are each day. This is especially problematic for those who drink a large amount of water including firemen, diabetics, and athletes. Coupled with all of the other fluoride we ingest through sources such as beverages, foods, and … Read More »
