MPP Bob Delaney Again Asking Province of Ontario to Enforce Fluoridation

On October 6th, 2016, the National Post published an article addressing a non-binding vote held by the Ontario legislature to ban cities from removing fluoride from their water supplies. As reported by Ashley Csanady "Mississauga-Streetsville MPP Bob Delaney brought the issue to the floor of the legislature because Peel region, which includes his riding, has a motion on its book to remove fluoride from its water."

As you may recall, I reported on MPP Bob Delaney back in December of 2014 when he tried to force fluoridation on all Ontarians by petitioning the legislature. This was met with harsh criticism on his Facebook page which lead to Delaney and his team to deleting over 100 public comments from his page and banning those with dissenting opinions from speaking their minds in our supposed democracy.

After getting nowhere in 2014 with the petition, Bob Delaney has resurfaced with a new and very cheap attempt to ensure those municipalities who are already fluoridating will be forced to maintain the practice through provincial legislation.

So let's get this straight... Bob fails in his attempt to force fluoridation at the provincial level. Now he wants to force those who are contemplating ending fluoridation, from doing so?

This is what our politicians are doing with their time and our money.

Ending fluoridation promptly is going to save the city of Toronto millions of dollars annually. Ending fluoridation is going to save all municipalities who are currently fluoridating thousands if not millions of dollars annually. Collectively, across Ontario tens of millions of dollars will be saved annually. The fear mongers who claim that ending fluoridation will result in massive amounts of tooth decay in Ontario and hence increased dental costs need merely to study Quebec which has one of the lowest levels of  artificial water fluoridation in Canada to find that assertion to be completely false; for the rates of dental decay in Quebec are almost the same as those in Ontario.

It is with great hope that the lawsuit in peel region will help catapult the end of artificial water fluoridation in the region and that this will lead to the and of artificial water fluoridation in Toronto and across Canada. Stay tuned for more updates as we have them.

In the meantime, please reach out to Delaney's office and let them know we want the unethical practice of artificial water fluoridation ended immediately.
